My name is Heather Garnick, I am the owner of Words and Manners, serving New Jersey and surrounding states, offering promotional products, etiquette training and social stationery.
I have nineteen years experience in corporate and retail sales. Fifteen years ago, I joined my family's business to manage and grow the promotional products division. Four years later, I took on the responsibility for the human resources of the company which had grown into a multi-store card and gift shop chain with a staff of nineteen people. For the last four years I assumed full operational and financial responsibility for the entire business.
My strong feeling about customer service and the drive to do the right thing for the customer led me into the area of etiquette training. I have worked with brides, grooms and their families, companies, human resource professionals and individuals on every aspect of business and social etiquette. In the spring of 2015 I became a certified Emily Post Etiquette Trainer.
As a result of my working with promotional products and invitations, I have developed a strong sense of design and layout. I have helped create the various aspects of wedding communications and also guided customers in the "what to do when" part of the process.
As of the beginning of 2015, I decided it was time to concentrate on the three aspects of the business that provide me with the most gratification. Words and Manners was created as a result of the blending of what I love doing.
